An academic fashion orientated journal started in 2018

During the second year of the Fashion Studies bachelor program, me and a small group of classmates decided to make a journal. Our intent was to spread awareness about the program, cater to various interests of art and fashion and to discuss current topics related to both the fashion industry and the Fashion Studies program.

We wanted to create a platform for scandinavian creatives and academics to discuss and share their interest in fashion. A platform where students and long graduated people could intermingle. Our plan was to always have various guest writers and open discussions on social media.

I was the art director - I designed the logos and had final say in the layout of each page and the journal as a whole.

Here are some color variations I did to see what looks good and fit the brand. Each issue was going to be color coded.

We also needed a simple logo to be used for social media profiles so we settled on the version you see to the side here.

Logo design for a company focused on wellness

In 2022 my mother started her own company and hired me to design her logo. Her work focuses on the wellbeing of people, ranging from being a consultant in social work to offering relaxing and meditative walks in nature and writing therapy sessions.​ Her work revolves around both nature and human beings which is reflected in the company name.

 

The bright orange color option is supposed to invoke warmth and joy. The muted green ties in nature and calmness. The image of the pine tree also showcase the nature aspect and the circle, aside from being a nice shape, represents wholeness.
